So far tested just on bench. RE & DE can be connected and be driven by only one signal line, because RE (enable receiver) is active low and DE (enable transmitter) is active high. Note: in such configuration protocol have to be able to ignore possible noise on the bus. All signals are connected to pins and bus is also connected to screw terminals on top side of module. Note: polarity of bus lines is important and needs to be same on all transceiver on bus. Due to IC datasheet (it's MAX485) there can be 32 transceiver on one bus.
